Biography
Zachariah Parker was born 14 Jan 1660 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.[1] The following entry comes from a copy of old records made in the 1740's. The date is presumably Old Style. See image 33/230.
Zachariah Parker the Son of James Parker and Elisabeth his wife was Born January: 14: 1659.
Killed along with his brother James in the Abenaki raid on Groton July 27, 1694. It is likely that his wife and sons were also slain. The daughter Elizabeth is mentioned in her grandfathers will and so was still living in 1700. WHMA indicates that "Elizabeth, b. Apl. 10, 1686; m. Aaron Boardman of Cambridge."[2]
Mass Vital Records Groton lists three children:
- Elizabeth, d. Apr. 10, 1686.
- Edward, s. Apr. 23, 1688.
- Benjamin, s. Aug. 18, 1690.
Zachariah married Elizabeth Page.[3]
Zachariah died on 27 July 1694 and was buried.[4]
