Biography

Arthur Paul LRCPE MRCS was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Arthur Edmond Paul was born on the 12th June 1862, in Neutral Bay, New South Wales, Australia, the son of George Paul and Emily Parkins.^[1]

Not only a doctor, Arthur, as with his great-grandmother, Tempest Margaret Paul, his grand-aunt, Isabella Tempest Bird (as she was, Rich as she became), his grandfather and grand-uncle, had a musical bent. He composed a piece called the Australian Star Waltz, in honour of the 1901 royal visit to Australia. It was published in London by J. B. Cramer & Co; and a copy is held at the British Library.^[2]
