Ruth Ann Pelton, daughter of John and Martha Pelton, was born about 1787 in Lyme, Connecticut.[1][2][3]
She married Salmon Bixby,[1][2] son of Samuel and Elizabeth (Strong) Bixby, about 1805. Salmon was killed by the falling of a tree about 1822. "Administration of the estate of Salmon Bixby late of Madrid, 2 Nov. 1824, to Ruth and Barnabas Ames."[3]
She and Barnabas appeared on census of 9 July 1850 at De Kalb, Saint Lawrence County, New York.[4]
Ruth died on 8 Aug. 1854 at De Kalb, St. Lawrence County, New York and was buried at Hermon Cemetery, Hermon, St. Lawrence County, New York. Her memorial has a photo of her headstone.[1]
