Biography
James Pierce was enumerated as son at Justice Precinct No. 1, Somervell County, Texas for the June 15, United States Census, 1880. He was noted as works on farm, born 1870 in Texas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self W J Pierce, wife Catherine Pierce, son John A Pierce, daughter Mary Pierce, daughter Louisa Pierce, son Wm F Pierce, daughter Frances Pierce, mother-in-law Martha King and other Theodosia Pinkerton. Martha King and Theodosia are on page 25 of the original census.[1]
