Biography

Judith Pledge born c 1706 to John Pledge and Dorothy Unknown. She married William Palmore/Palmer.

William Palmore or Palmer left a will dated 11 Sep 1786 Cumberland County, Virginia. He did not mention a wife, so we presume she died before that date. In the will, he states that he had given his "other children" their inheritances prior and gives son Fleming and granddaughter Judith Palmer his homestead of 100 AC on waters of Deep Run. The will is presented and witnesses take oaths on 23 Oct 1786.

Research Notes

Descendants spelled the surname PALMORE, but the will of William certainly says Palmer.

Will of William Palmer. Will dated 17 September 1786. Proved in court the next month in October.

He names his son Fleming Palmore and his granddaughter Judith Palmer (Carter?) and then states that as his other children had already received their inheritance he did not feel the need to call them by name.
