DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

What is the proof that John Pryor, Sr. had a middle name of Henry.

This descendant via daughter Midred Pryor Womack is curious.

Thank you.

NC; Burke Co, GA; family records; bible records; Womack quarterlies; "Information on Some Pioneers of GA" by Joe Maddox; cemetery tombstones; and marriage and courthouse records.

Has anyone tried to find a marriage record for John (no middle name) Pryor, Sr. and Martha (no maiden name as yet proven but possibly Gaines? Would be either at the VA State Archives or one of two counties - Gloucester where John Pryor was presumed born or Henrico where George Gaines was living when he died (Geo. is possibly the father of Martha but no proof as yet, per DAR records/applications).

During merge, the deathdate of one of the profiles would have meant that he died aged 110. I have therefore kept the more believable date of 1771.
