While the website still exists, the specific link above is broken, and search results include no John Redman; also searched for Redmond.

I detached the mother (that I accidentally attached to the wrong William Redman; sorry). His son here, William "John" [unlikely] Redmond is documented as the son of Anne Unknown-444441; not sure where this set of parents originated from.

Lacking a response for 3.5 years, I'm detaching the son, and attaching him to the more likely mother.

How could someone who died in 1682 be in the Civil War 200 years later? This profile seems to be garbled....

His current attached mother was b. 1655 he is b. 1656?
There are problems with this profile. He and Catherine Anne Elkins are claimed parents of William Redmond (1680-aft 1704) but that younger William is known son of Anne Unknown-444441 who m1 _____ Unknown Redmond; then m2 Richard Bryant whose 1704 will makes a bequest to his "son-in-law" (stepson) William Redmond. Where do these claimed parents come from?

Redman-592 and Patawomeck-7 appear to represent the same person because: Same vitals

William Redmond had no connection to any Indians or to the Pettis family. He was the son of Anne Redman, maiden name unknown, who married Richard Bryant.

Bill Deyo the Patawomeck Tribal Historian says he was adopted because he became an orphan after his village was massacred. What evidence do you have to say he's wrong?

William Redmond is named in the will of his step-father, Richard Bryant (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Bryant-358). "my will my son in law William Redmond if he will shall live upon the Plantation whereon his Mother lives seven years rent free or upon the Plantation where SAMUEL BURTON now liveth .." at this time "son-in-law" meant what we would call "step-son." Richard's wife was Anne (unknown) Redmond, a widow when he married her and was not a Native American.

People say his mother was part Native American and he was adopted. It's apart of thousands of people's documented family history. No one has to prove their documents to anyone here on Wikitree too. No one here is entitled to my personal family documents.

I'm related to Edith White Wilson(Bolling) so I'm related to Pocahontas.
