Reuben Reese is not in the 1794 list. In 1801 he owns 1 slave and 145 acres on Stamp Branch adjoining Wm. Averett (image 144/480). In 1805 he owns no slaves and 140 acres on Rocky Comfort Creek adjoining Averett (image 180/480). In 1817 he owns no slaves and 1000 acres on Stamp Branch adjoining English and pays $1.0625 (image 213/480). He seems to be an agent for Kintchin Harrison, who owns no property and pays a poll tax of $.3125.
Taken together the 1801 and 1805 entries indicate that Stamp Branch is a tributary of Rocky Comfort Creek, which flows southward from Warren Co. into the Ogeechee River. Reuben Reese appears to have lived in the watershed of Rocky Comfort Creek.

In the 1792 Personal Property Tax List John Reese, Tho's Pate, and Reuben Reese are white tithables over 16 years of age in the household of John Reese, Sen'r in St. Luke's Parish (image 936/951). In 1793 Reubin Rece is the only additional tithable in the household of John Rece, Sen'r (image 81/929), and in 1794 John Rece, Sen'r has "two others over 16" (image 108/929). Reuben Reese never has an entry of his own in the list, suggesting that he may have left Southampton Co. in the mid 1790s.
In the 1830 census Rivers Reese is 30-40 and lives in Warren Co., Georgia. Like Reuben Reese, he appears to have come from Southampton Co., Virginia. The will of John Reese indicates that Reuben and Rivers are brothers.
In 1795 in Southampton Co. Rivers Reece is a white male tithable over 16 years old in the household of Mary Reese (image 189/929). Rivers Reese has his own entry from 1796 until 1799.
