Samuel Rice was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, May 9, 1742, to Zebediah Rice and Elizabeth (Unknown). Some have said that her name was French, others Blood.[1] [2]

He was married December 6, 1765 to Hepzibah Flint in Concord, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of John Flint and Hepzibah Brown of Concord. After her death June 4, 1790, he married (second) Mary Melvin in 1792.[3]

Samuel enlisted in 1776 and served as a private during the American Revolution, [4]

Samuel Rice died September 5, 1805 in Ashby, Massachusetts. He is buried in the Ashby First Parish Burial Ground[5][2]

Rice-8753 and Rice-6593 appear to represent the same person because: Deborah - There are two Samuel's representing the same person, and both have your name attached. The problem is a little bigger because the parents are also enter twice. Zebadiah Rice Wiki-3487 and Zebadiah Rice Wiki-7316.

Using the low file number instructions ...the high number Zebidiah Rice as the low number son Samuel ...so it seem Samuel merge should come first ? Then when that is complete ....the two Zebadiah file can be reconciled. Yes, I do see that there is a different spouse involved [ which I cannot do anything about ] I seem to be more of a report ...as I saw this double / double while doing some Stone research . Hope this helps fix four files. Greg

Rice-6593 and Rice-6875 appear to represent the same person because: DOB is the same, location of birth is the same. date of death is similar, place of death is the same
