Biography

Claire Richard daughter of René Richard dit Beaupré and Marguerite Thériot, was born 8 Aug 1721, Port-Royal, Acadie, Nouvelle-France. She was baptized there the same day. Her godparents were Louis Thibault and Magdelaine Giroir, wife of Pierre Richard.[1][2]

She married François Giroir, son of Francois Giroir and the late Anne Bastarache 7 Feb 1745 in Port-Royal. There was dispensation for 3-3 consanguinity. Witnesses were Charles Girouard, Guillaume Girouard, René Richard and François Miraut.[3]

Claire died, age 32 on 19 Déc 1752, and was buried the next day at Port Royal. Witnesses were René Richard, Joseph Giroir and Charles Giroir.[4]
