According to Stratton, the three children were sons Giles Rickard and John Rickard, and Samuel King, Judith's son by her first marriage. The family settled in Plymouth, Massachusetts.[1]

Other heirs named in the will are sons Giles Rickard, John Rickard, Henery Rickard, Samuell Rickard, Eliazer Rickard, and Josiah Rickard; and four daughters, Abigaill (also spelled Abigall), Judith (also spelled Judeth), Hannah (also spelled Hanah), and Marcy (also spelled Marsy). [4]His inventory was taken on 4 December 1702.[6]

After the death of his widow, Joseph Hanes and Judah Hanes his wife gave bond for administration of the residue of his estate on 28 April 1709. Distribution of the estate was completed on 25 June 1709. According to Giles' will the residue of the estate, which amounted to 30 pounds, was to be distributed to his four daughters. The probate record states, "One of [the daughters] being deceased, the said Sum to be divided in to three parts, viz to Judith Hanes, to Abigall Whiting, to Hannah Eaton."[4][7]
