Biography

Marie Ovilia Rivette, daughter of Jean Baptiste Rivette and Marie Emma Lanclos, was born on 30 August 1886 in Arnaudville, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, United States.^[1] She was enumerated with her parents during the 1900 census, living northeast of Bayou Teche in St. Landry Parish.^[2]

She and Joseph Armand Collon Devillier applied for a marriage license on 23 December 1901 in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish.^[3] They were married the same day in Port Barre, St. Landry Parish, LA.^[4]

She was widowed at age 69, in November 1955.^[5][6] She died in 1956.^[5]
