Catherine Rogers was born in the Cherokee Nation (East) about 1809. She is the daughter of Robert "Bob" Rogers and Lucy "Betty" Cordery. She married Alexander McDaniel about 1823. [1] Along with her parents and other relatives they emigrated to Indian Territory as "Old Settlers" in 1829. [2] Alexander and Catherine were the parents of Lucy, David, Ellis, Robert, Catherine, Sarah, and Lewis. Catherine died in 1844 and Alexander died in 1845. [3]
