Seymour and his twin brother Seward were born in Howell, Michigan in 1958, the sons of Adoniram Judson Rowley and Adeline Ware.[1]In 1860, his family lived in Burns Twp., Shiawasee Co.[2]
He married Lorena Jane Bratt on 13 Feb 1886 in Tuscola, Michigan,[3].
Seymour died in Vassar in 1912[4] and is buried there in Riverside Cemetery.[5]
From the Tuscola County Pioneer and Vassar Times, September 27, 1912:
"Seymour C. Rowley, who has been a resident of Tuscola county for the past forty-nine years, died very suddenly at his home north and east of town, last Monday, after only one day of illness.
Mr. Rowley was born in Howell, Livingston County, 54 years ago and came to this county with his parents when five years of age. He had lived on the place where he died for the past fifteen years. Besides the widow there are nine children, five girls and four boys, that survive.
The funeral will be conducted at the home Friday and the burial made in Riverside cemetery."
