Biography

Henry Saltonstall immigrated to New England as a child during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640).

"...probably accompanied his father to Massachusetts in the same ship with Governor John Winthrop, in 1630. He was admitted to the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company as early as 1639, three years before he graduated from Harvard. In 1642 he was proprietor of a farm of three hundred acres, besides eighty-eight acres of meadow, in Watertown. He returned to England. In 1644 his was in Holland."[1]

He was named in his brother Robert's will, dated 13 June 1650 and proved 15 (6) 1650.[2]
