Biography

Rachel Sargent was born at Amesbury, Massachusetts on August 12, 1683, daughter of Thomas Sargent and Rachel Barnes. ^[1]

Rachel were married William Currier at Amesbury, Massachusetts on December 14, 1704. ^[1] Her husband William was born about 1680/1, son of Thomas and Mary (Osgood) Currier. ^{[2] [3]}

In her father Thomas Sargent's will, dated February 8, 1706 and probated at Salem on April 8, 1706, he left bequests to all his children including daughter Rachel Currier. ^[4]

Rachel died at Amesbury on April 19, 1720. ^[1]

After her death, William married second, Hannah Harvey at Amesbury on March 8, 1721/2. ^{[1] [2]}

William Currier Sr.'s of Amesbury will was written on October 21, 1746 and allowed on April 2, 1752. In it he left bequests to the following heirs: ^[5]

• daughter Mary Challis
• daughter Hannah Worthen
• daughter Rachel Currier
• grandsons Thomas and Henry, sons of daughter Mary Challis
