My name is Christine. I've been researching my family tree off and on for about 15 years. I've become more serious about it in the past 5 years or so. I believe in finding the source documents that can factually link people and places together. There is so much information out there it can be overwhelming, but once you start looking only at things such as birth, death & marriage certificates, family bibles, census', passenger lists, christening certificates, etc. - the amount of information shrinks dramatically. I do use books, such as area historys, etc as guides, but not as fact. There's so much work to be done I imagine I'll be working on my tree for the rest of my life.
