Biography

Amey was born on 9 July 1794 in Pepperell, Massachusetts[1]. She was the daughter of Moses and Abigail (Woods) Shattuck. [2]

Jonathan Butman married Amey Wood Shattuck on 2 March 1819 in Groton, Massachusetts. [3]

The intention of marriage was recorded on 22 Sept 1818 in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. [4]

In 1860, Amy W. Butman and Jonathan Butman appear in the U.S. Federal Census living in Framingham, Massachusetts. No other members in the household. [5]

In the 1870 U.S. Federal Census they record her name incorrectly as "King W. Butman but record her age correctly as 75. However, her husband Jonthan's age is incorrectly recorded as 15 instead of 75. Their son Joseph E. Butman is also in the household, 44 years old. [6]

She died on 23 Jan 1872 in Framingham, Middlesex, Massachusetts. She is buried in Edwards Church Cemetery, Framingham, Middlesex, Massachusetts. [7] [8]

Her will was in probate on 27 Feb 1872 in Middlesex, Massachusetts. [9]
