Biography

Sarah was born on 15 November 1909 in Taylor County, Kentucky. Her parents were Herman V Shively and Ada Arvin.[1][2][3]

She married Michael M Hall on 27 June 1933 in Taylor County, Kentucky.[4]

Sarah died on 6 December 1991 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She was buried in Brookside Cemetery.[5] They were making their home in Taylor County, Kentucky where her husband, Michael, was a physician in private practice when the 1940 census was enumerated.[6]


Obituary[5]
Elizabeth Shively Hall, 82, Campbellsville, died Friday, Dec. 6, 1991, at the Taylor County Hospital after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Herman V. Shively and Ada Arvin Shively. Hall was a member of the Bethel First Presbyterian Church. She had been associated with Shively's Jewelers for many years prior to her retirement. She had been a member of the Eastern Star, the Coterie, the David Allen Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, the Col. George Reade Chapter Colonial Dames of the XVII Century and Women of the Church at Bethel First Presbyterian Church. Hall is survived by one son and two daughters, seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene B. (Zimmie) Shively, Campbellsville; several other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. M.M. Hall, in 1988. The funeral was at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, 1991, at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Brookside Cemetery.
