Martha Skolfield was born on March 19, 1753[1] in Brunswick, York, Massachusetts Bay Colony, daughter of Thomas Skolfield (1707–1796) and Mary Orr (1714–1771).
Martha (23) married Lewis Simpson (29) (born in 1747) in 1777 in Brunswick. Their children were:

- Jane Simpson (1789–1851)
Martha died on February 4, 1803 in Brunswick, Cumberland, Massachusetts, United States, aged 49. She was buried in First Parish Cemetery, Brunswick, Cumberland County, Maine.[2]
