Biography
Temperance Smith was born circa 1670, in Westmoreland county, Virginia, the daughter of William Smith and Frances (Walters) Smith. Temperence was remembered by her father in his will of October 10, 1707, probated on November 26, 1707, by which he left her a feather bed and her furniture. [1]
Temperance married Charles Lucas, son of Jacob Lucas (1641-1703) and Mary (Hawley) Lucas (1644 - 1670)
