Snell-847 and Snell-2440 are not ready to be merged because: I have his parents as Joseph Snell and Elizabeth Christman. And I don't see that he has a child Sarah Ann.

Lavinia Hungerford can't be John's mother as she was too young (based on her headstone). I've detached her. The trees I see indicate Elizabeth Christman as his mother, and there's a Joseph and 'Betsy' (a known nickname for Elizabeth) on the 1855 Steuben, NY census. I am thinking that two Joseph's have gotten merged incorrectly . . . This isn't one of my families, so would like to know what others think. Tne name Joseph Snell is so common that it is hard to differentiate between them in the records. Who can help?
