RE: Your latest edit to the birth year of Susannah (Sparks) Annable (abt.1667-aft.1726).
Can you tell me what reasoning you used to come up with 1667? I haven't been able to find a good rationale for her DOB.
Thanks,
Chip.
I cannot recall exactly, but I may have been looking at the same source that is on her fathers biography. It lists 1667 at her DOB there as well.
Sorry I cannot be of more help.
Thank you for your considered reply, Richard. We so often get members who intentionally create a long series of duplicates not noticing that they exist already. I'll leave you to manage the merges and only suggest that when using the Search Person screen, you set the radio button in the "Include name variant matches" to include last name variants. Doing this I was able to find both profiles using "James Chambless" with a 1700 birth date and +/- 30 yrs. When I search for a pre-1700 profile, I often also search use a wildcard under the assumption that the profile is probably already built and spelling was fluid in pre-1900 times. For this one, I would try " Cham*s " to see what possibilities exist.
As for requiring a mandatory location, the current community standards are given here: Person Profile - Minimum requirements. Most of us agree strongly with you, and if you post a proposal on G2G you'll find support and a lot of reasons why not.
