Dora, thanks for your fascinating message on the Thomas Sullenger/Sullinger mix up. I appreciate the explanation. Plus, you got me to google the Cornstalk Wars in KY -- I love how genealogy leads me down interesting detours! I was looking for a different Hayden in KY and saw that Arutha had two husbands with similar names and went "hmm." It's so tempting when the names are similar to go to town connecting things that don't belong.
You can absolutely detach the wrong spouse from Arutha. Especially as you are the Profile Manager for Arutha & one Thomas and the other is an orphan profile -- so no one to check in with first.
-Go to the Edit tab for Arutha's profile. On the right hand column, the spouse will show up and there will be an option just under the spouse(s) to Add/Remove spouse. Select that option and scroll down to where you can Remove an existing spouse.
-I think it would be really helpful to add a note to both Thomas profiles and maybe Arutha's as well explaining what you put in your email. And change my "unmerged match" to a "rejected match" so that no one else gets the same idea I did.
Thanks very much -- Amy
How is it going so far, were the Member How-Tos pages helpful or did they leave you with questions?
