Nathaniel Stetson was born in March 1710, probably at Pembroke, Massachusetts, [1] He was the 3rd Child and son of Isaac and Elizabeth (Pray) Stetson[1]
Marriage
Married (cousin) Elizabeth (Pray) Stetson[A], 8 Jan 1740 at Scituate, Massachusetts [2] Nathaniel was listed as "of Marshfield." [3]
8 Children (first 6 children listed as being born in Pembroke, Massachusetts):
(i) Samuel Stetson, b. 3 May 1742 in Pembroke, Massachusetts.
(ii) Rachael (Stetson) Fish, b. 20 Aug 1744 in Pembroke, Massachusetts; m. Zaccheus Fish 25 Nov 1779 [2].
He passed away in October 1787, age 77 years, 7 months. He is buried in the Old Cemetery at Pembroke Center. [2].
Probate
The will of Nathaniel Stetson of Pembroke, yeoman, was dated 5 April 1787 with a codicil dated 2 August 1787 and proved on in Plymouth. He mentions his wife Elizabeth, and his children, Lot Stetson, Samuel Stetson, Nathaniel Stetson, Abner Stetson, Elizabeth Stetson, Rachel Fish, and his grandchildren, Sally Magoun, and Isaac Magoun.[4]
His inventory was taken on 5 December 1787 in Pembroke.[5]
In 1791, an account of his estate by Lot Stetson was recorded which included debts paid, gravestones, personal estate to the widow, and administration fees.[6]
In 1799, a second account by Lot Stetson was recorded which included a mistake from the first account, debts paid, legacies paid, and administration fees.[7]

A. Kindred Genealogical Index: 1-1-7-3 - Daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Unknown) Stetson (Possily Clapp?). She ws born 27 Mar 1717 and baptized 20 Feb 1714/15. [8]
B. Mr. Barry says she never married, but there is a Boston record of Elizabeth Stetson who married Jacob Jackson, 10 Jun 1784. O.F. Stetson speculates that this might have been Elizabeth[2]
