Stone-2316 and Stone-19589 appear to represent the same person because: Stone-19589 appears to have been named "John" in error. Mary Balch's husband was Nathaniel Stone. He did have a brother John who was married to Hester Gaines, Sarah Gale, and possibly Jane Stanley.

Stone-19589 and Stone-2316 are not ready to be merged because: I'm going to check into this tonight and make sure Mary Balch did not marry twice before approving the merge on my end.

Edited to add: The merge should go through. He was named John in error. Nathaniel did have a brother John that was married several times, but not to Mary Balch.

Were you able to sort this out, Lucy? It looks pretty clear to me that Stone-19589 was always intended to be Nathaniel, not John, and that the two profiles should be merged. The person who created Stone-19589 went back and created another duplicate profile for the husband of Mary Balch, again with no sources, and this time named him Nathaniel. See Nathaniel Stone-19604 that also needs to be merged with this profile. Let me know if you have questions, otherwise, please reinstate the merge proposal. Thanks!

Stone-19589 and Stone-2316 appear to represent the same person because: Please agree to merge these duplicate profiles for the husband of Mary Balch-148. Thanks. His name was Nathaniel, not John.

Are you sure Mary Balch-148 married John Stone? Her profile only refers to her as married to Nathaniel Stone-2316, who also died on 23 February 1741. The only source you've provided is your name. Do you have a better source? If not, I recommend that this profile be merged with Stone-2316 and his name changed to Nathaniel.
