Biography

Thomas was probably the son of Seth Swindle and Elizabeth born about 1835 in Tennessee.

He was a farmer.

He married Matilda Ann Bright on the 16th of December 1856 in Benton Tennessee. He and Matilda had at least nine children born in Mississippi between 1857 and 1874. He had moved to Clear Creek, Sevier, Arkansas by 1900 and is reported to have died there in 1903.

Notes

Although Thomas is not listed in Seth's household in 1860, the 1840 census lists one male under five as well as one female under five. The daughter would be Mary. Thomas had married in 1856 and had his own household in Tishomingo in 1860. He is probably the son listed in the 1840 census.
