Biography

Rose Thibodeau died young.

Rose was born about 1744. She was the daughter of Joseph Thibodeau and Marie Josephe Bourgeois.

The family appeared on the 1752 La Roque census at Rivière-du-Moulin-à-Scie, Isle Saint-Jean (now Prince Edward Island) with five sons and one daughter. Rose was listed at 8 years of age. [1]

They were deported to France in 1758. Several of her siblings died at sea during the crossing. [2]

She passed away shortly after arrival in France on 26 February 1758, in Bretagne. She was buried the same day at Saint-Servan, Bretagne (in present-day Ille-et-Vilaine), France .[3]
