Biography

Franklin Lee Thompson was born in Mocanaqua, Luzerne, Pennsylvania on 31 Mar 1883. He was the fourth of twelve children and the eldest son of John Thompson and Mary Jackson. Frank married Elizabeth Kline on 11 Sep 1905 in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania. Rev. J. W. Gilds performed the wedding ceremony.[1] The couple raised one daughter - Margaret Leigh Thompson. He worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad as a clerk from 1918-1930. He later worked as an insurance agent. He died of a heart attack while having dinner with his family at home at 516 North 26th Street, Pennside, Berks, Pennsylvania on 18 Apr 1947. He was buried on 23 Apr 1947 at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Reiffton, Berks, Pennsylvania.[2]
