He served the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He died, at the age of 83, on April 26, 2018 in Georgia. He was cremated but has a Find a Grave memorial. [1]

WHITE, Ga. - Rev. Rudolph "R.T." Tidwell, 83, of White, Ga. and formerly of Valley, Ala. died Saturday, April 26, 2018. Rev. Rudolph was born and raised in Gadsden, Ala. He was a Navy veteran during the Korean War and spent over 55 years in the ministry. Rev. Tidwell was dedicated to the churches he served and yearned to spread the word of God.
Rev. Rudolph is survived by his wife of 62 years, his daughter, 2 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolphus "Doc" and Della Tidwell.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 6, 2018, 3:15 p.m. EDT at the Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Ala.
