Hi Ken! When your GEDCOM was imported, something went a little crazy, and it added a bunch of junk text of repeating links to Ancestry. I've cleaned up the open profiles already. Would it be ok if request access to the trusted list of the 17 private profiles that were affected by the import error so I can fix those? I will remove myself when I'm done. If you prefer to keep your private profiles to yourself, that's fine too. I'm no relation, just cleaning up database errors. These errors are not anything you did wrong. The system just goes a little crazy sometimes for reasons I don't understand.

Hi!

You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to help!

Ken--

You've been here for three weeks now! We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better. You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. I'm so glad you volunteered!

You are now a confirmed member, and you can get started adding your family members.

As we've said, WikiTree is quite different from other genealogy sites. So, we've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. Your first stop is How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Tomorrow or soon after, a Mentor who will check in with you to see how you're doing and answer any questions you might have.

Next week, you'll get another message with your next stop on the guided tour.

Join in the fun with our Question of the Week in the G2G forum: Where do you start your offline research?

See you in the branches!

Hi Ken,

A warm welcome to WikiTree, a genealogy site different than any other! You should have received an email from us with helpful links to get started.

Our goal is to have one single profile per person so that we have ONE big family tree and we collaborate together to make that happen.

Each volunteer at WikiTree adds to the collaborative tree at their own pace, there are no minimum requirements for time or entry.

When you volunteer, you indicate your interests by adding tags and comments and then one of our Greeters will confirm your membership.

Please check out our question of the week Where do you start your offline research?

Welcome to the family!
