Biography
Morris TRUANT (also variously spelled Trewent, Trowent, Truwant, or Twowent) was born in England about 1606, and immigrated to the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1630. He had moved to Duxbury by 1639, where he was highway surveyor in 1646. By 1650 he had moved to Marshfield and was a constable there. His son John inherited his Marshfield farm when his will was executed in 1685.[1][2]
