Biography

Thankful Twining was born on 11 January 1696/7 in Eastham, the daughter of William and Ruth (Cole) Twining. She married Jonathan Mayo on 09 April 1719 in Eastham. She died there on 28 August 1779.[1]

Children

Jonathan and Thankful (Twining) Mayo had the following (11) children:[2][1][3]

  1. Ruth, born 16 March 1720/1; was living as a spinster in 1769
  2. Hannah, born 6 December 1721; died 16 May 1767, unmarried.
  3. Elizabeth, born 1 September 1723; mar. Israel Atwood.[1]
  4. Rebecca, born 31 May 1725
  5. Theophilus, born 2 April 1727; married Sarah Mayo
  6. Jonathan, born 17 March 1728/9; presumably died before 22 October 1768
  7. Thankful, born 4 February 1731/2
  8. Mary, born 13 April 1733; perhaps mar. Thomas Brown.[1]
  9. Ebenezer, born 9 February 1734/5; married Mercy Mayo
  10. Constant [Constance], born 8 April 1737; married Ezra Young
  11. Jerusha, born 25 August 1739; married Nathan Higgins
