Richard Eastman Twitchell was born May 20, 1843, in Milan, New Hampshire, the son of Gilman Twitchell and Lucy Harris.[1] It is probable he was named after a distant cousin of his, Richard Eastman Twitchell (born 1819), a son of Ezra Twitchell of Bethel, Maine.
Richard died on October 10[2] or 17, 1860, in Dummer, New Hampshire, of typhoid fever, aged 13 years and five months.[3] He is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery, in Milan, New Hampshire.[2]
