Deliverance (maiden name not positively known) may have been Deliverance Bradley born April 3, 1655 to parents Anna and Richard Bradley of Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts. [1]
Deliverance was the first wife of Samuel Lyon and the mother of all of his children. Until we find a marriage license or something we can't say for sure that her maiden name was Bradley or anything else. We know they married about 1672 and that she died before December 1692, when Samuel remarried. [2]
Will of Samuel Lyon
This further shows he had a wife prior to Sarah Grant and that she (Sarah) wasn't the mother of the children mentioned within:
"From The Genealogy Library, The Lyon Memorial, Volume I, Pg. 31 Samuel Lyon 2 (William 1) was born in Roxbury, Mass., bapt. [ "Samuel Lyons"] June 16, 1650 [Church Records], and died April 7, 1713 [Roxbury Town Records]. He was a mason. He was dismissed from the church in Roxbury Dec. 21, 1673, to that in Rowley, but returned a few years later. He married in 1672, Deliverance [???], who was the mother of all his children. He married second, Dec. 5, 1692, Sarah Grant of Rehoboth being then "of Worcester" [Rehoboth Records]. About 1688 he was granted land in Woodstock; it is not certain that he ever lived there. His will [Suffolk Co. Probate Records, XVIII, 87-89] was dated Roxbury, April 25, 1711; probated April 25, 1713. Executors, Samuel and Ebenezer Lyon, his sons. He mentions his "present wife Sarah," speaking of the agreement made with her before marriage, "that if she survived me she should have the improvement of the housing and land I then possessed for her subsistence during the term of her continuing my widow"; refers to forty pounds already given to his oldest son Samuel Lyon, and twenty pounds given to each of his sons Ebenezer and Margaret and Johanna Lyon.

Thank you for any potential sourcing but this is included in the body and sources list already...unless there is a specific reference or change to the actual page- in which case- please let me know and I'll see if it should be added to her page. Clearly a lot of work is left to be done with her but we recently revamped the entire thing after some cited work was discredited a while back.

It's a silly story as to why I wasn't proposing merges with my first GED.com upload but I won't get in to it here...except to say thank you for being a helpful, positive member :)

Thanks for the Match.
If you think 2 profiles are a match you can go ahead and propose a merge.
An Unmerged Match is normally used when one is unsure if they are the same person and more research is needed.
I have now proposed this merge.
