Margaret Parker, daughter of Thomas Parker and Agnes (Unknown) Parker, was baptized at St. Mary the Virgin, Saffron Waldon, Essex on November 19, 1571.[1] As discussed in the profile for Thomas Parker, there were almost certainly two Thomas Parkers who had children baptized at St. Mary the Virgin about the time of Margaret's birth. Of the two, it is highly probable that Margaret was not the daughter of Thomas Parker, shoemaker, who married Christian Maidwell at St Mary the Virgin in Saffron Walden on February 5, 1570/1 and who made a will dated September 3, 1593, since (1) there are records of separate baptisms of a Margery Parker and a Margaret Parker[2] and (2) the will of Thomas Parker, shoemaker, refers to Margery as Margery Parker,[3] while Margaret Parker was already married to William Savell at the time the will was made.
Margaret married William Savell at St. Mary the Virgin on June 29, 1592.[4]
Margaret and William had the following children, all baptized St. Mary the Virgin, Saffron Waldon:
Margaret, bpt. February 14, 1593/4,[5] no further record found

Elizabeth, bpt. December 10, 1598,[10] bur. September 23, 1618[11]
Ann, bpt. April 26, 1601, m. April 25, 1625 Samuel Basse in Saffron Walden, d. September 5, 1693 in Braintree, Province of Massachusetts Bay. (See discussion and sources in Ann's profile.)
William, bpt. February 24, 1604/5, d. August 2, 1669 in Braintree, Massachusetts Bay Colony. (See discussion and sources in William's profile.)

By a deed dated March 25, 1623, a list of 30 persons (which included a Nicholas Parker and his son Thomas), who are described as "feoffees of lands the profits of which are expended on the persons in the Almhouse in Walden" [essentially trustees of a charitable trust for the poor], leased to William Savell of [Saffron] Walden, joiner, and wife Margaret, for 20 years at an annual rate of 20 shillings per year, a messuage in a street called Freshwell Hundred in [Saffron] Walden, abutting on the east a tenement in occupation of James Greaves, weaver, on the west a tenement in the occupation of Widow Campion, and on the south the land of John Wood.[16]
Margaret's husband, William, was buried at St. Mary the Virgin on February 3, 1638/9.[17]
Margaret was buried at St. Mary the Virgin on September 14, 1640.[18]
