The creator of the Genealogie Burggraaff website is Teus Burggraaf who is, like me, a descendant. Teus lives in Vianen and we are in frequent contact. I feel it is important to mention that circa 2019 Teus changed his mind about the identity of Adriaen of Purmer after consulting with various experts in his area. Because of patronymics it is not possible, he says, to sort out the relationships conclusively. Therefore, he changed the starting point for this family to Adriaen Heyndricksz (geb. ca 1525). Also, the link for this website, above, is broken. Here is a link to the page which has Adriaen Heyndricksz, currently the "starting position."https://genealogieburggraaf.nl/index.php/hendrick-adriaensz
These are attached to the wrong Borchgrave lineage (starting with parents: Arnold, don't know where he is coming from and wife Gertrude Arnoldet ?? ) It seems someone mixed up the lineages or something like that.. corrected LNAB and names of the wrong ones (so Arnold and Gertrude Arnoldet) So that's correct now.
Guess they were created in an afford to connect them to/ or create this lineage The Leeds Family of New Jersey:Information about Hendrick Adriense van der Burchgraeff Only problem with that was , some of the there mentioned profiles already excisted/ were already present here :Arnold de Burchgrave and Anna van den Daele for example... she is a daughter of Gerard van den Daele , major of Malines (Mechelen) and Catharina van den Broecke. So now this lineage and the other are correct according both Burggraaf genealogies , and now we can look if they maybe should / could be connected (prove for this connection ??)
It seems from here things are no longer matching up , his name is Adriaen Hendriksz (op ten Borggreeff) his parents are Henrick Adriaense and Elsken , and his wife is named Barbara Dircksdr ... as far as I can tell it looks like this branche got attached to a totally different one , or maybe the wrong brother was set as father , will look into this some more ...
I had already merged his son (on account of correspondence between various members of the NNP) - see the merge notice ... It might be that he is bogus (or conflated) or that his profile really represents another person - I had similar doubts.
Burchgraff-2 and Van Der Burchgraeff-9 are not ready to be merged because: The father is a mismatch. On further review, I think these two Adrianens are different men, and probably should be a rejected match. Or one of them is bogus, and should be deleted or merged away into the other line. The two fathers may or may not be brothers. I now think iit more likely that they are not really father and son after all. That was an early assessment based on the 1503 generation being a match, when these two Adrianes were first proposed incorrectly in a merge. In any case, if one of these Adriaens is to be merged, then the non-matched father attachment from one or the other will need to be disconnected first.
Burchgraeff-4 and Van Der Burchgraeff-9 appear to represent the same person because: This is the oldest ancestor in this chain in need of a merge. The variable data has all been saved to the bios, for later sorting. Per Comments, there is open question about the ancestry of this person. But that will not effect this merge or the descendant merges going forward. Thanks!
This source states that he married Barbara Dircksdr who died before 1605. They had two children: Sebastiaen Adriaensz van den Burghgraeff (born ca. 1551, Lexmond, SH, died ca. 1613) ; Hendrick Adriaense van den Burghgraeff (born ca. 1570, died bef. 1612).
Acccording to a source (the Beun-family genealogy) this name should be Adriaen Hendriksz (born bef. 1525, died bef. 1685). He married Barbara Dircksdr who died before 1605. They had two children: Sebastiaen Adriaensz van den Burghgraeff (born ca. 1551, Lexmond, SH, died ca. 1613) ; Hendrick Adriaense van den Burghgraeff (born ca. 1670, died bef. 1612). This child later married Anneke Jansdr (died after 1635, testement states she had a brother Jacob Jansz and a sister Fijken Jansd.). Amongst their 3 children: Mayke Hendricksdr van den Burchgraeff (born 1602, Laeckerveld [etc.], died March 24, 1664 in Albany. Source states that she had lived in Vianen, and emigrated to New Netherlands in 1641 with 6 children. Her 2 siblings: Adriaen Hendrickse van den Burghgraeff & Barbara vdB never left.
Thanks. I know this, but I think I may be missing something you're trying to say. Yes, when a merge is done, something has to be done with differing parents or one of them will be detached. That something would be a merge, an unmerged match or a rejected match. At the very least, this keeps the detached parent in the conversation. I requested a merge of Burchgraeff-4 and Burchgreaff-2 so that someone who understood these folks (you) could do something appropriate (which you are). Should I have done something else? Actually, I'm trying to figure out how to stop being a manager of these folks. I adopted them long ago because Adriaen's daughter Mayken has been confused with Mayken Hendricksen van den Oever. Otherwise, I don't know anything about them.
as the main profile instead. But the older generation of the father needs to be completed first. Just so you know, when you force merges through while disregarding the yellow warning notice about parent dupllicates, it results in a disconnect of the parent. That is the main reason why WikiTree has so many loose profiles floating around, not connected to anything, and with no clue about where they came from.
Edit April 27, 2014: I am going to disconnect Adrian and son Hendrick from the supposed mother, Maria Adriana Arkesteijn-2, because she was fraudulently attached at the Ancestry source. She and her parents is instead a match with exact dates, except 160 years later, for a modern Netherlands line, which has no patronymics.
This fraud has been propagated to multiple trees and interent postings, probably directly from the same fraudulent Ancestry tree.
