Jaco was born in 1971 in Bloemfontein. His parents were teachers in Dewetsdorp at the time. The family moved to Tarkastad a few years later.
Jaco attended Tarkastad High School. He did one year of military service before studying to be a Quantity Surveyor (QS) at the University of the Orange Free State.
Jaco started working in 1995 as a QS in Queenstown,
In 2002 Jaco accepted a job in Dubai in the UAE. He worked there for 14 years before returning to SA in 2014.
In 2015 he set up base in Port Elizabeth.
Jaco comes from a musical family and was taught the piano at school, and sang in the Pro Ecclesia choir at university. He was an active participant in the music ministries in church in Queenstown and Dubai.
His favorite sport to take part in is tennis.
Jaco is a committed follower of Jesus Christ and and has been an active member of various churches, leading small groups in Dubai and PE.
He is passionate about travelling and has been able to visit many countries during his years in the Persian Gulf region.

I would recommend adding tags like your surname, your mother and grandmother's maiden surnames and the country of your family origins. Clicking your green tags shows who is following the tag.
