At the age of 16, David left school to learn telegraphy with his brother, Ira. By 1900, he was on the job in Massillon, Oh., boarding with the Gust Rhine family. Later, David worked in food distribution as an independent. At the time of the 1930 Federal Census, Frank was a salesman for a food broker.
In 1949, David lived at 1524 NOrthland Av., Lakewood, Oh., according to the Lakewood City Directory, p. 785.
He died at Bay View Hospital where he was taken three weeks earlier. He suffered from cardiopulmonary disease disease.
