The parents of Mary Wells are unknown. The Booth Family History includes her as a daughter of John Welles and Elizabeth Bourne, and the first wife of Joseph Foote, but as her recorded birth date is more than a year after the death of John Welles in August 1659, either there is a defect in the record, or she is the daughter of a different John Wells. Jacobus, in Families of Old Fairfield does not include her as a daughter or as a wife of Joseph Foote. No record of this marriage has been found.

It doesn't seem possible that her father is John Welles-30. He died in 1659 and there are sources on his profile about that. Mary was born in August 1661, for which I added a source. Since John Welles was no longer living in 1661, and her mother had not yet remarried, I wonder who her father is?
In the Stratford VR's, it shows another "Mary, daughter of John", b Nov 29, 1670. This makes it look like the Mary Wells of this profile, with the birthdate of Aug 29, 1661, may not have lived, and "John" had another daughter he named Mary. i'm guessing there is a different John Wells. Pure speculation, but something doesn't seem quite right here.
The History of New Milford lists this Mary as a daughter of John Wells (even though it says he died about 1660). He has her marrying Joseph Booth (see the Unmerged Match attach). Jacobus doesn't have Mary as a daughter of John Wells or a wife on Joseph Booth. I haven't found a source that suggests that Mary had any children, I'm wondering if the best thing to do is merge the two, keep her attached as an uncertain daughter (on the theory there's a defect in the record). Or maybe better to detach from parents, and just add links to bio, and keep her attached as an uncertain wife of Joseph Booth?
