Descendant of Sarah Joris Rapalje (1625 - 1685 Annetie is the great-granddaughter of Sarah Joris Rapalje who was famous as the first European Christian female born in New Netherland, and who was daughter of Joris Jansen Rapelje, a famous member of the Council of Twelve Men in the Dutch West India Company colony of New Netherland and among the earliest settlers in New Netherland.
Descendant
Descendant of Hans Hansen Bergen (1610 - 1654) Annetie is the great-granddaughter of Hans Hansen Bergen, a famous shipwright and early settler of New Amsterdam, and one of the few from Norway. He became one of the first settlers at Brooklyn's Wallabout Bay, and married the famous Sarah Joris Rapalje.
