Biography

Ann White was a daughter of Joseph White and Lydia Rogers, who were married at Weymouth, Massachusetts, on September 19, 1660. She may have been born about 1678, based on the birth of her eldest child. James Savage, A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England, wrote that her parents resided at Weymouth following their marriage, and later (by 1665) at Mendon, Massachusetts, and that most of their children were born in those two towns. Ann's birth is not recorded in the records of either town. Savage concluded that "of course some of these must have been born in another town, though we know not certain where he removed when the Indians in Philip's war [1675-1678], destroyed Mendon."[1][2][3]

She married William Trask prior to July 15, 1697, when they both signed a deed selling land in Salem (Essex Co. Deeds, Vol. 12, p 42). They resided at Salem, Weymouth, and at Braintree, Massachusetts, where they owned a house by 1714. Children:[1][2][4]

  1. William Trask, born __ 29, 1699, at Weymouth.[2][4]
  2. Samuel Trask, born February __, 1702, at Weymouth.[2][4]
  3. John Trask, born May 5, 1705, at Weymouth.[2][4]
  4. Elias Trask, born October 14, 1707, at Weymouth.[2][4]
  5. Ann Trask, born October 5, 1712.[2]

Ann Trask may have died in Musketa Cove, Lewis, New York Colony or Braintree, Massachusetts" in 1739.[citation needed]

White-22337 and White-197 appear to represent the same person because: Trying this again; these two are clearly meant to represent the White wife of Trask.
