He died on 23 March 1706[2][3][4] (Mendon Annals p. 8; Mendon VR p. 514). The children of Joseph and Lydia (Rogers) White were born for the most part at Weymouth, Massachusetts, and at Mendon, Massachusetts. James Savage, in A Genealogical Dictionary of the First Settlers of New England, concluded that "of course some of these must have been born in another town, though we know not certain where he removed when the Indians in Philip's war [1675-1678], destroyed Mendon."[7]
Joseph, born July 5, 1661, at Weymouth; died young.[8]
