I have changed the birth date from January 13, 1755 to about 1793, based on a Pedigree Resource File record and a 2011 post on the Rootsweb message board. These also cite no sources for the date. I have marked it as uncertain. The original date put his birth five years before the birth of his mother.
I also removed the 1812 date of death, along with the place of death. I believe these dates were the result of confusion with his father (also Elijah). They correspond well to the dates given for his father in various records. - FR
