Biography

SARAH WILKES, daughter of Abner and Martha Wilkes, was born in Chester County, South Carolina. She migrated to Alabama about 1822 with other members of her family and relatives and settled in Morgan County. she married William Nunn in Morgan County on 9 December 1825, the marriage ceremony being performed by Mr. R. Tapscott, Justice of the Peace. After their marriage, they lived in Morgan County, where Mr. Nunn was a farmer. He died in 1829 or 1830, and she died in 1835.
