Abner Willson (1785-1835) was the son of Gabriel Willson and Keziah Decker and in 1808 married to his 2nd cousin Elizabeth Lundy at Hardwick Friends Meeting. Elizabeth was the daughter of Jacob Lundy Jr. and Sarah (Shotwell) Hampton. She was active in the Society of Friends and acted as a minister for several years. Elizabeth traveled, in 1836, with her son Jacob L. Willson and his family to Wyandot, Ohio. Jacob's family settled there; but, Elizabeth returned to New Jersey prior to her death.
Elizabeth kept a diary during her trip which was edited and published by W. C. Armstrong. From her mother's ancestry, Elizabeth is a descendant of the Winthrop of Massachuetts Bay Colony and John Bowne, Quaker leader of Flushing, New York. She was also related to the Governor John Winthrop.
Abner and Elizabeth were parents of seven children and resided in Warren Co., New Jersey. (Willson 38)
