AncestryDNA says I’m 1% Scandinavian and MyHeritage says I’m 23% Scandinavian. Since I live in Rockford Illinois, which has one of the largest Scandinavian population outside of Minnesota, I am somewhat intrigued. Both of my parents are from Southern Illinois, so I have no idea how that would happen. Everything else seems to degree it’s mostly British Isles and northern France. Our family history says we have Cherokee, but the DNA does not hold that up.
