Samuel Womble (or Wamble) was born in July 1763 in North Carolina. He was a son of Cornelius Womble and Nany Mae Peoples.[1][2]
On 23 Dec 1784, he married Jane Tyson in Moore, North Carolina.[1] They made their home in Chatham County, North Carolina, where they raised nine children:[1][2]

On the 1790 census, the Womble family was listed for Moore County, North Carolina.[3] The 1800 census also lists them in Moore County, in Fayetteville township.[4] On the 1810 census, they are again listed in Chatham County, North Carolina.[5]
Samuel passed away on 9 July 1814 in Chatham County, North Carolina. His will[6] was probated in 1814 in Chatham County, North Carolina.
