Biography

Daughter of Henry Worsham and Martha Jackson, Elizabeth was born about 1764 in Amelia County Virginia.

Betsy married Reverend Perrin Cardwell on 27 August 1785 in Amelia, Virginia.[1]

Elizabeth died on 8 March 1859 and was buried in Cardwell Cemetery, Knox County, Tennessee, United States.[2]

According to her father, Henry's Will "Item I lend unto my daughter Elizabeth Cardwell during her natural life one negroe wench named Else with her future increase, and after her decease I give and bequeath the said negroe Else with all her future increase to be equally divided amongst her children to them their heirs or assigns forever."

Worsham-471 and Worsham-317 appear to represent the same person because: same name/same birth year. Both profiles appear to represent the wife of Perrin Cardwell who left a will dated 17 August 1844/proved January 1855.
