STRAHAN-WRAGG. A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. George's, Burnie, on Saturday morning when Mr Charles Henry Strahan, of Burnie, and Miss Eleanor Lydia Wragg, daughter of Mr Sydney Wragg, South Burnie, were united in matrimony. Rev J. Tryon Wilson performed the ceremony and as the bride entered the church on the arm of her father the choir sang "The voice that breathed o'er Eden." At the conclusion Mrs R. H. Crawford played "The Wedding March" and the bride and bridegroom entered their conveyance amidst a shower of rice and confetti, a large number of onlookers being present.
Miss Emmie Wragg accompanied her cousin as bridesmaid, and the bridegroom was supported by Mr R. W. Harrison. At the residence of the bride's father a number of guests partook of a wedding breakfast, and the happy couple later took their departure by the afternoon train on a honeymoon trip. In anticipation of the happy event, members of the "Times" staff, on which Mr Strahan is employed, met together,on Friday night, and the manager, Mr C. J. Harris, on their behalf, presented Mr Strahan with dinner and tea services, with teapot, cruet and other necessaries of the table, and expressed wishes for the future happiness of himself and prospective bride. The recipient suitably responded.
